College of the North Atlantic

College of the North Atlantic is one of the largest post secondary educational and skill training institution in Atlantic Canada. The College has 17 campus locations through out Newfoundland, Labrador and Middle East state of Qatar.
The college offers about 100 full time program and more than 300 part time programs. The college claims to have the lowest tuition fees of any post secondary institution in Atlantic Canada. The college offers over 200 courses for Distributed Learning Service. Its Office of Applied Research offers programs leading to the application of new knowledge to sustainable economic activity. The College has beneficial contacts with the industry like its partnership with companies like Sun Microsystems and Silicon Graphics.

Course Details:  

College of the North Atlantic provides a wide range of programs in health care, tourism services, psychology, business administration and physical education. There are some 100 full time program and more than 300 part time programs. The School of Academics offers courses like,
  • Adult Basic Education (ABE)
  • Comprehensive Arts and Science (CAS) College Transition
  • Comprehensive Arts and Science (CAS) Transfer: College-University
  • English as a Second Language(ESL)
The college also has School of Applied arts, which provides programs like,

Admission Procedure:  

The college maintains an open admission policy. The students can apply on line. The applications are processed on a first come, first served basis. The students have to satisfy all the necessary documentation, all educational and other requirements and pay the required fees. The international students have to pay a non refundable application fee of CN $ 100.

Accommodation facilities  

The College provides accommodation at the Bay St. George, Burin and Happy Valley _Goose Bay Campuses. In order to apply for accommodation students have to contact the Residence Office of the appropriate campus. Other than this, college provides a list of boarding accommodations
